Terms of Use
Last updated 2026. These terms are a template and should be reviewed by a qualified professional.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to your use of the A Care Assistance Living website, forms, downloadable resources, and partner portal (together, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. What We Do
A Care Assistance Living provides information and guidance to help individuals and families explore housing and care options, and helps connect them with independent housing providers and community referral partners. Our Services are informational and are meant to support, not replace, your own decision-making.
2. No Guarantee of Placement or Outcome
We do not guarantee that a suitable home will be found, that any housing provider will have availability, or that any individual will be accepted or placed. For housing providers and referral partners, participation does not guarantee referrals or placements. Information about options, services, costs, and availability can change at any time.
3. Housing Providers Are Independent
A Care Assistance Living does not own, operate, manage, or control any of the homes or housing providers we connect you with. Providers are independent businesses responsible for their own licensing, services, care, staffing, pricing, admission decisions, and compliance with applicable laws. We do not supervise or guarantee the care or services provided by any housing provider.
Before making a decision, we encourage you to visit any home you are considering, ask questions, review contracts carefully, and verify licensing and inspection information with the appropriate authorities.
4. Not Medical, Legal, or Financial Advice
Content on our website, including checklists, guides, assessments, and conversations with our team, is for general informational purposes only. It is not medical, legal, financial, or professional advice and is not a diagnosis. Always consult a qualified professional about health, legal, or financial decisions.
If someone is in immediate danger or having a medical emergency, call 911.
5. Your Responsibilities
- Provide information that is accurate and current to the best of your knowledge.
- Only submit information about another person if you have their permission or are authorized to act on their behalf.
- Do not submit medical records, diagnoses, Social Security numbers, Medicaid or Medicare ID numbers, or financial account numbers through our website.
- Use the Services only for lawful purposes, and do not attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Services.
6. Communications
By submitting a form and checking the consent box, you agree that we may contact you by phone, text message, or email about your request. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time as described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Partner Portal Accounts
Partner portal access is available only to housing providers and referral partners approved by A Care Assistance Living. If you have an account, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential, for all activity under your account, and for keeping the information you provide accurate and up to date. Referral partners must have the individual's permission before submitting a referral. We may suspend or end access to the portal at any time, for example if these Terms are not followed. Any formal referral or partnership arrangements are covered by separate agreements.
8. Our Content
The Services, including text, graphics, logos, checklists, and guides, are owned by or licensed to A Care Assistance Living and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and download our resources for your personal or internal professional use. You may not copy, sell, or redistribute them without our written permission.
9. Third-Party Websites
The Services may include links to websites or information from third parties, including housing providers. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party websites.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, A Care Assistance Living disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, A Care Assistance Living and its owners, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the Services or from the acts, omissions, care, or services of any housing provider, referral partner, or other third party. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless A Care Assistance Living from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the Services or your violation of these Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which A Care Assistance Living is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of your place of residence requires otherwise.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Services means you accept the updated Terms.
